RECREATRION GROUND, RIDING LANE
There are 11 acres set in picturesque surroundings for residents to enjoy. There is a Pavilion, facilities for football, tennis and cricket together with a ball park and a play area for most ages of children. The sporting facilities can be used by clubs or other organised groups by arrangement with the Parish Council. A large car park is provided for those travelling to the area.
WEST WOOD, TONBRIDGE ROAD
Situated on the apex of Leigh Road and Tonbridge Road this beautiful natural woodland provides walks, the opportunity to study the local flora and fauna, a play area for primary aged children and practice goal as well as picnic facilities and a pump cycle track. The whole area is around 10 acres.
A small Village Green, surrounded by native trees, provides an oasis for residents to enjoy. It is the setting for the Victorian water fountain (sadly no longer providing water), is currenlty being transformed into a beautiful meadow and lays in the midst of the Conservation Area.
A number of lighting columns, outside the built up area, are provided by the Parish Council for the benefit of residents and commuters which would otherwise be unlit. Irrespective of whether the County or the Parish is responsible the Parish Clerk will action any problems reported but ideally needs the reference number on the column to do so.
